I dont know about RIT Mark-- Rits are waterbased dye-so I dont knnow what type of penetration you would get into the wood--

The alchohol in the leather dyes opens the grain -and lets the dye penetrate better- I wonder if you could use alchohol as a vehicle for Rits---hmmmmm
