A light sanding with 80 or 100 grit should be all you need. I'd be wary of water or alcohol ar anything else that might get absorbed and raise the grain or re-contaminate the wood. If you have small epoxy spills that have soaked into the wood and caused dark spots, these will disappear when you coat the hull; there is no need to sand these off. After brushing off the hull, if you're really worried about dust, wipe down the hull with a tack cloth. Just dampen the cloth with an appropriate solvent (acetone or laquer thinner) enough to pick up the dust, but not enought to wet or soak into the wood.
