I LOVE GEORGE'S BOOK!

I've built four skin on frame kayaks..The one I am working on now is the 18 1/2 foot boat from this book.

His methods are a little different from what I've done before. (I built playwood frames) But I am very pleased with fitting floors and tretling.

I agrre thet the tall form eat plywood. I cut 20" from each and mounted them on a 20" high ladder frame. Worked well and 2 x 4 used to build the frame have already been recycled.

I hoped to have her in the water tomorrow..but I split a coaming whenfitting it..maybe next week. I'll post a pic when I have them.
