Forgot to mention above. I would leave it.
I would scrub it with a scothc brite pad with amonia & water, give it a super light sanding and give it a couple coats of epoxy.
Most builders don't give their glass jobs a tear test as you did. Most builders would actually be surprised how easily you could tear off glass from the substrate or epoxy.
