I concur. If you build bulkheads - build hatches. If not - use flotation bags +/- sea sock. Having bulkheads w/ no way to inspect/drain/repair "effectively" will only cause problems in the future - both to clean and repair, if it is repairable by the time you notice the problem. Also (imo) the more complex the solution to your dillema, the more opportunity for some type of mechanical/structural failure while on a trip, or worse, at sea. Sometimes the simple solutions are the best. Good luck w/ whatever you decide to do!
