My daughter broke her leg last year, and they made her cast out of a pre preged fiberglass with a water curing urathane resin. You just dip the rolls in water, roll them into place, smooth with your (gloved) hands, and it cures to a ridged mass in 10 minutes. You can buy it at the drug store. The only concern for your application would be making sure it respected your release agent.
