WOW ROSS!
That turned out great!!!
Just don't tell anyone you "cloned" a seat.
You mentioned that there were a couple of "flexible" spots. You could epoxy a couple 1" x 1" "bars" of foam to the bottom and glass over them. As long as there was enough clearance for them under the seat, the square cross-sectional tube shape attached to the bottom of the seat would REALLY stiffen things up.
