After filling the weave

As I type this post, the second coat of epoxy I've applied to my Panache is slowly running down the hull. The more I try to fix it the worse it gets so figured I'll resort to sandpaper when the time comes. Wetting out the glass was no problem, the squeegee worked well. The problem I've always had with my boats is getting an even coat on the second and third application that doesn't "sag". When I try to repair an area that repeatedly sags the epoxy starts to turn white. I assume that this is caused by air bubbles. Any secrets out there in applying epoxy after the first coat.
