Determine the explosive characteristics of your epoxy mix (don't know them myself) and if they are low, hook up a generic old vacuum cleaner. I do abs moulding using nothing but my old Sanyo vacuum cleaner, and it does a dandy job of pulling down 3/8" thick abs to form motorcycle saddle bag lids.

For little voids in wood, you could use a little hand pump with the tube set over the vent hole.

You could even use a warm coke bottle, and let it cool.
