I'm not looking to take my wife out in unreasonable conditions. She's not a weak paddler, let's be honest - I've only been paddling for one summer, she has been racing war canoes for a few yrs. The real interest is for keeping us together. I'm not sure how a platform between the kayaks would work, it may interfere with paddling.
