Cool inlay!

My plastic wrap method works. However, it can be messy. Excess glue will ooze out and conform to the plastic wrap leaving epoxy wrinkles to be sanded off. You also want to seal coat the whole boat otherwise you may get some localized discoloration where epoxy was applied at different times.

My brother has been using Super-Glue type stuff -- Something to think about.
