The Nordic spruce I´m using isn´t as soft as WRC or other cedar. I´ve tortured a screwdriver with a gastorch and grinder to act as staplepuller. In fact I did three of them cause the invisible man, Murphy, always moved the first to the other side of the strongback all the time.
Cheap, works very well and causes only minor dents. This eventually dents, if they aren´t grinded away, they rise when the surface is wetted out for grainraising. After fine grinding there is only the stapleholes left and on the hull they don´t bother me. On deck I´m trying to avoid staples and will borrow the clamps from Magnus Jonsson, that I showed a while ago, to test them out.
