I use polypropylene cloth from Defender, not called Vectra.

As listed in the Defender catalog, it is very abrasion resistant. I also like it because
it wets out translucent so the color of your wood shows through.

It sucks up resin like a sponge, so I only use 1" wide strips on my stem edges.

If you are thinking of covering the whole bottom of your boat you will add a lot of weight
using any of these cloths.
