I have the opposite problem: a mount but no rudder :D I kind of petered out on this project. The idea is, the rudder is attached to a pin - forming a "U" shape. One end of the pin goes down this hole and the rudder pivots around it. The slot below is where a cotter pin goes to keep the rudder from falling out on a capsize. The mini-bulkhead and access hatch are required to keep water from seeping into the cockpit.

It was a fun idea but... maybe I'll stick an American flag in the hole instead :)
