I have deceived you. I had colored parts of the photograph to draw attention to what I though important and conveted the other parts to black and white.

See my response to Robert Pruden with the subject line color.

That area of the boat has fiber glass tape over the fillets, otherwise it is just coated with epoxy.

Our 17LT boats weigh 44 and 57 pounds. A 16LT that was our second boat is 48 pounds.

The heavy boat was the first one, mine, and we made it strong. So now that I know how to make it lighter I must begin building another. I'll start on a Shearwater Bluefin in about three weeks.
