In Response To: deck beam? (Randy Knauff)

the CNC cut deckbeams were another piecemeal cost cutting change in the kits. The little forward deck beam could be left out if one made sure the scarf joint in the deck didn't have too much glue or had an epoxy filled hollow in the scarf joint making it too stiff to bend. Then when the deck is installed a damp towell is placed over the deck to encourage the bend continueing forward where the minideck beam would be located.
