: Hi Dan, I'm surprised you call the System Three WR-LPU soft. It is a two part
: polyurethane -- did you use the cross linker catalyst? I spent the better
: part of a day wet sanding out brush marks. By far the hardest stuff I've
: used on boats, furniture or floors.

Of course... I use the cross-linker for all 4 coats not just the outer layer. I wet sand and polish my boats. It's really tough to sand and polish because it is so soft. The other two-part poly I've used before was Epifanes. That stuff is much, much harder than the LPU. It's real easy to bring it to a high shine. I compare LPU to about the hardness of Captain's varnish... at twice the price. Just telling you my experiences with LPU (used it on three boats in the past 2 years). The other boats were Epifane's poly and regular marine varnishes (Epifane and Captains). I was a convert to water-borne finishes. Now I don't know... I'll keep using them for furniture... just not boats I guess...
