Hey, Bill. I started with the 10" Ryobi all purpose, changed to a Freud Diablo 7.25" thin kerf, and ended up with a DeWalt 8" multi-purpose thin kerf. All blades pretty much produced the same quality of cut, but the smaller ones resulted in zero bog down when cutting ash. I went to the 8" because I'm using a piece of 3/4" plywood bolted to the top of the table, and I didn't have enough blade protrusion to cut 3/4" stock with the 7.25".
