If you want it really thin - scan it and print on rice paper add carefully trim out. May not be a real leaf anymore, but will have all the unique natural details in tact (assuming decent printer/scanner) and no stem/ribs to deal with. Also adds the opportunity for some artistic license in adjusting the image colors, size, etc...
