I agree with you Paul.

Actually I have the Alaskan Mill with a 28"(?) bar & Stihl chainsaw.
For cutting the occasional log it is great. But It is a beast to push through the logs. All that while breathing the 2-cycle fumes up close to the exhaust.

I wish the hardest part was cutting the logs into 8' lengths and wrestling them in place.. But it is not.. After that you have to repeatedly push the whole rig through the wood. As I get older the price of the mills with a crank handle don't seem as high...

We have some property in the upper portion of the Lower peninsula of Michigan. Now that the Kayak bug bit me I'll be looking to see if we have Northern Cedar trees on the lot.
