I use an aluminum Bosch portable table saw *LINK*

I get very good cuts with the saw, better than that old heavy duty thing my dad bought many years ago. With a good quality thin curf blade, the Bosch saw will work very well. The base is very stable and the fence adjusts easily. The saw is lightweight, easy to move around and place in a tight storage spot. The link below shows you my table but mine has a different safety guard. Also, the support table that came with mine is a simple set up without the fancy grab bar on the side. I prefer the support table that came with mine because I just know I'd be tripping on the grab bar that is shown on the new one.

All that said, if you do plan on setting up a permanent position for a table saw and perhaps getting into finer wood work, then, if I were you, I'd be looking at a cabinet saw.

Hope this helps!
