The waste comes from the inefficiency of the system. It take alot of pull to get the epoxy up into the remote end and you never get it all back out. The waste is more then worth the ability of getting the epoxy where it needs to go. A small bead along the joint in between the wires and your good. Then remove the wires and tape away.
Rolling the presaturated fiberglass tape out is a whole "Nutter" matter!
