I'm a member in his forum also, Ross he is a great guy. He built a strip Guillemot but not a S&G. The S&G kayak he made was a free plan in Sea Kayaker magazine.

I'm just wondering if the free Guillemot S&G plans were up to date and any problems people have run into building one. I did see the build journal on the site. Just looking for more information like that.

Right now I'm still not sure on what to build next. Here are my choices
Guillemot Stitch & Glue
Guillemot Strip
Shearwater S&G by CLC

Either of the Guillemots are the cheaper way to build because I have the plans from Nick's book drawn in autocad as well as the S&G. Buying plans from CLC eats up $100 that I could use towards wood. Decisions...decisions!

P.S. I may just print out the Guillemot S&G plans on 11x17 paper and make a mock up using poster board just to see the look of it. I guess it's just the engineer in me that would make be want to see it in 3D before building one.
