You mean HIN, right?

A woodburning tool will melt through the resin and burn that info into the underlying wood. A quick touch-up with varnish should be all the sealing you need over the area.

Or, decoupage that info by printing it on a thin paper, such as rice paper, onion-skin paper, tissue paper, or tracing paper. Wet a small area with a few drops of varnish, lay on the paper, and varnish over it.

You need to put the HIN info in two places. Make one of those inside the cockpit, on the underside of the deck, so someone would need to stick their head inside to see the number.
