: Glued on fittings probably aren't enough. They don't need to run to the
: extreme bow or stern, but within a foot or two. They also don't
: necessarily need them to run along the cockpit because you're going to
: grab the cockpit rim instead of them. They could stop at the farthest back

I'd agree on the glued fittings, especially on a hot day. For perimeter lines, I'd still run them past the cockpit. If someone needs to grab your boat and you have a skirt in place, the cockpit rim will not be of much use.

: 3 or 4 bungies perpendicular to the boat's centerline on your foredeck. Don't
: do diagonal bungies. They might look good, but they're worthless.

For reentry maybe. For holding maps, water bottles, water shoes, and whatever else my wife wants me to hold on to, they work :-)

So are you going to run U bolts around your G boat? How do you think Joe's flush mounted, through the deck strap loops would do for perimeter lines? A good winter project for me, I guess :-)
