:John,
Straddle the boat in calf-deep water, and just drop your butt into the seat. With a large cockpit, you can tuck your legs in the front. To get out, reverse the process putting both legs out, lean forward and stand up. Shoot the boat out between your legs and walk away.
You'll be in so fast you can paddle out and watch and learn how the other guys contort themselves.
