Hi Chas, your basement is the logical choice because the boat won't interfere with the wife's car situation; as they say happy wife/happy life. The only gotcha to building in your house is epoxy sanding dust. Epoxy sanding dust is a fairly significant health hazard - more than the fumes. Ideally, you could transfer the boat to the garage (or driveway) for that operation.
