: I'm looking for advice on kayak design. I'm 5'4" and about 130lbs and
: want a boat that has enough load capacity for trips of a week or more. I
: would prefer something with low-effort speed and tracking over
: maneuverability, and that will be comfortable in good-sized waves. I have
: been thinking about either the Great Auk or the Endeavour. Any advice
: would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Either of those would be too big for you, I think. I paddle an Endeavor, I'm 6-04 and 190 and it's a pretty big boat. There's a smaller version called the Venture that you might consider. It's supposed to carry you and up to 70 lbs of gear. Unless you really plan to carry a lot of stuff most of the time think smaller volume and there's plenty to look at. Good luck.
