It is possible to do! I built mine last winter from the book. Could I have done it if I hadn't had a real boatbuilder to lean on during the process? Probably not, but I did, so I was successful. For the next project, I chose a stripper, bought the full plans, and still lean on the pro for guidance during particularly tough sequences. Having this group to lean on is also a HUGE plus.
