I agree with Paul's comments below regarding deck beams & bulkheads. I do think it is necessary to glass the inside of the deck. Fiberglass exhibits its strength when loaded in tension and a force applied to the outside of the completed deck will place the inside surface of the deck in tension. Without the glass cloth, you will have a much weaker deck. Having done that, I would remove all deck beams except, perhaps, the cockpit beam in order to save weight.
Any deck beams that you will remove after construction can be "quick & dirty". If you choose to leave one in the cockpit, a laminated or steam bent ash deck beam would look beautiful.
