If you like remote, and you are thinking of Southeast Alaska, take a look at Tebenkof Bay, the Tebenkof Wilderness and the Bay of Pillars on Kuiu Island east of Baranof Island and west of Petersburg. Whales, bears, maybe wolves, rarely a visitor, good beaches and places to camp, sheltered water. Lots of archeological sites, very old totem poles, village sites. Alaska state ferry to Kake, then arrange a charter to Tebenkof. Good for at least a week, I spent ten days there, and will return for a similar trip sometime in the future. But don't tell anyone about this place!!
