So, let's say you've worked on a SOF PVC when the schedule allows, and now it's looking like you could launch soon. Then some smart aleck points out you have no paddle. What would you do?
Finding myself in a similar situation, I bought a dowel from the hardware store and was thinking about cutting a slot in each end. Then I would trace a neighbor's paddle blade onto some left over 1/4" birch and cut it accordingly. Put the blade in the slot and glue/screw and I'm done. Whaddya think? Any better way?
BTW, I do plan to spend more time on a paddle when I have more time!
