I'm just curious from all of the experts out there who have been using epoxies for some time if they have tried using vinegar to clean up uncurred epoxies, or if they are just using solvents "toxic thinner of choice".

I for one have never tried the solvents and am very pleased with the effects of the vinegar.

My only experience with solvents vs epoxy is 2nd hand. My brother called me and asked how to get epoxy off of his hands after he touched some uncurred stuff he was messing with. He told me he tried paint thinner and he had to scrub hard and it burned. I told him to use vinegar and he was very grateful.

Should I be using solvents instead? Are there any adverse effects I should watch for with my cleaning process?

What are the benefits of using acetone, thinner, mineral spirits, methylene chloride, MEK, or for those of you who go out to the garage and grab the gas can?

Possitive feedback on what people have tried and are using is greatly appreciated as we all have "clean up" to do of uncurred epoxies at some time or another.
