Material: Abrasion Strip Idea

Ideally, I'd like something to put on the high-wear areas of the hull to keep the varnish/epoxy/wood from being damaged. It would be a sacrificial layer that could be removed and replaced when it gets worn too thin. It would be clear, to look as unobtrusive as possible, and be easy to apply with no tools. Check out the link for a possibility -- polyurethane adhesive tape.
