Actually, the more critical dimension is probably the difference between the foredeck and aft deck heights. If the difference is relatively large, the coaming will be angled and it's easy to slide in. If the difference is small, the coaming will be relatively flat, making entry difficult. The dept of the boat and the length of your legs are also important factors in this case.
