In Response To: Material: cutting minicell foam (Bert)

I had good result using my Japanese pull saw. I marked both sides of the foam to assure a straight cut. Pretty easy and very little waste due to the thin kerf.

\: I was at a yard sale the other day and scored some minicell foam for $2.00 ,
: the only drawback is that it is 4" thick 6" wide and 2' long .
: is there any way to slice it so it would be 2" thick by 6"X 2' ?
: I was sort if thinking about a hot wire cutter I remember from science
: class some way to hook up a wire to a 9v. battery , have the wire streched
: between two posts . I am thinking about then slicing the foam similar to a
: bandsaw but with no waste ?I'd use a bandsaw but I don't have one . Any
: help would be appreciated Thanks again
