S&G: WGW Construction Day 6

Today I inspected all the butt joins. I created a jig for drilling holes every 6 inches and pre-drilled all of the planks. My lightweight drill did not feel so lightweight after an hour of continuous drilling. Ouch.

Then I set all the planks aside with the exception of the bottom and two #1 planks. I used an orbital sander to clean the epoxy sticking out to make it flush with the plywood edges. I also ran the sander over the epoxy work to smooth out some bubbles. I drilled more holes and wired it all together. I also attached the transom and propped it with cement blocks to prevent it from falling. WOW. This thing actually takes the shape of a boat. It is awesome. I read instructions for gluing 3-piece temporary station 7 form with epoxy. I used Elmer's glue. I don't know if this was a mistake but I'll see after it dries how strong it will be. The 3-piece station is temporary and will come out later. I is used as a form to attach the remaining planks. First I have to hot glue it in place. That will be tonight.

I will post an addendum to this day tonight.
