Sam, I've got a learning quirk that makes it kind of hard to process some info through the ears, so I've got to tell you and Jon it's great fun to understand your written thoughts from the page.
When making test panels and whacking/breaking them it was apparent that fractures radiated out along the lines of the threads as well as the direction of the two layers in the ply. S-glass laminates did not. I think there's a slight elasticity to its fibers before they fail at a higher stress.
