Like clockwork Scott. This is a pretty old thread; figure only die-hard plane/bbs addicts make it down this far :) Woodcraft sells new 100.5's for $75. That's what I did. I read somewhere (maybe the catalog) they were developed specifically for planing the concave lines of a boat - came into production as canoe building became more popular in the mid-late 19th century... I probably have the details wrong. Anyway I flipped my hull over last night. It will see action fairly soon.

Thanks for the #45 info. There are tons of them on e-bay. It's just a matter of time (and money) until I get a suitable tool.
