I know little about tortured Plywood construction. It is my understanding that Stitch and Glue is in general easier (for kayaks at least).

I seem to recall reading in the 'the new kayak shop'. that his previous book had tortured plywood construction. I think the title was 'the kayak shop'. Again I think that is where I read that the stitch and glue method is easier. In his new book he does bend the plywood to make the deck, however it is a simple bend not a compound bend.
