: I am building Rob Macks Shooting Star and included the recess (just because
: it looks good).I am ready to glass the deck and wonder whether most use
: one piece of glass at the two joints(upperdeck & recess joint)or is it
: better to cut and overlapa piece.I am afraid to file down the ~1/32"
: deck joint for fear of opening some gaps that might be unsightly to fill.
: Any thoughts from you experienced recess glassers?

Wellcome to the ShootingStar-gang!
You will have a real beauty and a superb kayak on the water.
I did the recess-glassing with two pieces and it turned up fine. If you orient the bias-cut glass right you can model it to very strange curves and with the help of a hair-drier it can be even more plastic.
