I received a copy of Nick's book as a Christmas gift and have read it cover to cover several times. After lurking here for a few months I am ready to jump in to strip building. This board is a great resource and thank you Nick for hosting it.

Before I start my stripper I have to finish my CLC Millcreek 15 bringing me to my question. My hull is painted and I am finishing the deck now. The deck is epoxy coated (Fiberglass Coatings Inc. epoxy). Prior to varnishing, the epoxy had been on for at least a month. I washed the deck with soapy water and a scrub brush, sanded and wiped with Interlux 333 brushing liquid. (As recomended by Interlux, prior to applying their Goldspar Polyurythane). The first coat when on great. It took a few days to dry, but I attributed that to a cold spell here in Florida. The varnish looked great for about a week. Then we had a cold night where the lows were in the mid 30's (please try not to laugh). The next morning I went out to the garage and my crystal clear varnish had taken on a milky appearence. It is more pronounced where the varnish was thicker. This cloudyness remains and this past weekend I went about sanding back down to the epoxy. I applied the varnish unthinned with a foam brush. Before I start over is there any advice anyone can offer to avoid this happening again? Is the cold weather (relative term) the culprit?

Thanks

Rob
