. It took a few days
: to dry, but I attributed that to a cold spell here in Florida. The varnish
: looked great for about a week. Then we had a cold night where the lows
: were in the mid 30's (please try not to laugh). The next morning I went
: out to the garage and my crystal clear varnish had taken on a milky
: appearence. It is more pronounced where the varnish was thicker.

I wonder if you simply had applied varnish during a cold spell and the air was damp? hmmm when isn't it damp down there. Maybe Rob Mack as some pointers.
