: I've pieced my feature strip together 4' down each side. I'm pretty happy
: with the way it looks. It's just going to take time. The clamping strips
: on the inboard side are working pretty well. I'm not getting much
: slippage. Clamping was a problem on the hull strip.

: Each chevron takes a small piece of Cedar top and bottom and then the piece
: requires a bit of final shaping. This time I'm shaping each piece only
: once right before it's installed. On the hull, I shaped each piece before
: each step :(

: I'm not ready to do the dots yet but I have made the decision to go ahead
: with them as long as I can get clean joints. I'm also almost done with the
: cart but it's low priority at this point.

Chip your feature strip is looking great. If you do the dots I will be interested how you decided to do them. I am still trying to contact the guy I mentioned that plug cut dots to cover up holes. He did a super job that I haven't been able to duplicate in hard woods. I think its all in the plug cutter but I am not sure. Keep up the good craft work. I am always watching your work for hints and ideas.
