: I noticed that delaminations (these little white areas with the glass
: structure visible) occured quite easily where I have sharp radii. I have
: noticed it on the stern. I dropped the kayak from ~1ft on the concrete
: garage floor. I got a small delamination (1/16"x1/16") where it
: hit a small local high point in the concrete. I also found a small
: delamination on the cockpit rim and I don't really know why it happend.
: Never had any issues on the large radius sections or flat sections. I
: tested a trial panel before with a screw driver and you had to pound
: pretty hard to get the glass to delaminate.

: What are your experiences? These are easy to fix and I am not really

Stressed glass will show up as you've indicated. Whenever you have a heavy impact
OR if you have tension in the glass during construction, it will release and show up
as the white glass pattern.

Sand it off and apply a patch. Sand ONLY until the white pattern dissapears. You don't
want to cut into bare wood or you'll have color problems.
