I've moved a stripped but unglassed Wee Lassie in the back of a UHaul van. I left it on the forms attached to the strongback. I ran two cam-lock tie downs around the hull, positioned over forms so I wouldn't crush anything. And I fastened the strongback firmly in the truck. The boat came through the move fine.

Cartopping might be a litle tougher on your project because of wind buffeting. I might start by putting a strap around the boat at every other form to keep everything together.

Then look for a clear day and go for it.
