Seeking: Feedback on the Little Auk

Got a question. I want to build a pair of really short gunkholing strip yaks around the 11' to 12' range. I don't know why I haven't really noticed them before, but the Little Auks might be the best answer, and from pictures and reports seems pretty positive when built for this purpose.

I weigh about 215 and the wife about 135. Will they work? I could stretch the overall proportional width if it would make a difference in capacity for me. I want a pair of light and easily cartopped kayaks that I can get into a motel room when we travel.
