so what the hecks the point of having them at all in the artic hawk?(am i reading this wrong- they have laminated sheerclamps?) they're put in after the shape is already developed? aren't there definitive deck panel patterns in the plans?

to me, one of the neat things abt thin ply is that it can bend - but sheerclamps can only bend gently. so continuous sheerclamps in all but gentle curves become more trouble. or if forced to be used, then they may actually impart warping of the intended shape.
