: I want to paint a couple of small decorations on my kayak before
: fiberglassing. Specifically, I am inlyaing some fish on the deck, but I
: want to paint the eyes on the fish.

: What kind of paint should I use? Enamel? Acrylic? Laquer? Other?
: Should I paint after I put a sealer coat of epoxy or paint on the naked wood?

: Thanks for your help.

I've been using Tremclad Rust Paint for years on my boats. Once it is fully cured it is very hard and adheres to epoxy very well. It comes in many colors. Paint after you do the sealer coat and glass, that way if you ever want to change it you can. That's my $0.02 cdn.

Note: That email addy above is BS, I got tired of SPAM. :/
