Wanted to follow through on this. I probably looked quite silly tonight sitting in my boat hull measuring and moving strips around the deck. Not to mention putting cardboard cutouts over my head and holding them in place. :)

I discovered something tonight. I always find that I want to sit up on the deck even with a keyhole. With the mock up where I could clear my knees and shins I realized that I still had trouble getting my foot out and over the side of the deck. Thats why I always prefer to sit on the deck. In order to be able to get out I need a long keyhole since I am just not flexible enough. So that leads to thinking that if I have sit on the deck I might as well go with the a Ocean or perhaps a Qaanaaq style.

I will put a keyhole in the nieces boat since that is the one I will loan out.
